DID YOU KNOW?

Lead-based paint was commonly used in homes before 1978, and even up until 1990 for exterior building paints.

Removing, repairing, or disturbing this paint result in lead poisoning which comes with serious health risks such as anemia (a deficiency of red blood cells), as well as brain and nervous system damage.

This risk is even greater for children, who are more susceptible to the risks of lead poisoning.

Eurofins Enviro-Works provides lead content analysis to parts per million (ppm) detection limits.  Sample types include paint & tiles, air filters, and surface dust wipes.  Lead contents are determined using the ASTM E1613-12 method via Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (FAAS).

Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) analysis for lead is also available for dry bulk samples by utilizing the EPA 1311 method.
